Stop sharing stats and start sharing impact

annual report design

Design can be used to solve infinite problems — from checking you out at the grocery store faster to building skyscrapers that stand tall on swampy soil. At Spire2, we use design to grab attention and communicate a message with emotion.

The Challenge:
Work within a tight budget to create more impact.

The services of CASA of DuPage County make a difference. Kids with a CASA (court appointed special advocate) are less likely to return to foster care, spend less time in the court system, and do better in school. While nationwide 400,000 children are waiting for someone to be their voice in court, every single child in DuPage County who needs a CASA has one.

When tasked with executing their 2018 annual report, we maintained the format from the previous year to stay within a tight budget. After aligning the report with their new brand image, we focused our attention on one spread.  The previous stats page was reminicient of an old powerpoint presentation. We used the same content, but used design to transform the presentation. The results highlight the power of design. As a donor which one would make you feel like your support is helping children? Which design above makes you want to engage with the content on the page?
